beers from 13 breweries have earned Quality Mark designation.
The banner on this design highlights the words Quality and
Integrity. The word Quality indicates that these beers are well
made and tasty. The word Integrity indicates that these beers are
brewed "true to style.'' They should have some adherence to recognized
brewing traditions, whether it is Northwest interpretations of
Old World recipes or new styles we invent right here in
Oregon. The basic
quality guidelines include both laboratory and
sensory testing of their beers, in order to verify the high
quality of Oregon's fine ales and lagers.
The guild has created a technical advisory panel to review issues relating to beer quality and beer styles, as well as taking the lead in establishing new styles emerging in the Pacific Northwest. Look for this design on six packs of many of Oregon's breweries as well as on coasters and T-shirts around the country. Participating breweries also display a plaque bearing the Quality Mark logo to let you, the beer lover, know they are taking this additional step to ensure you are getting the best possible beer every day. Any beer carrying this mark has been designated as an authentic, Made-in-Oregon craft beer that meets style and specific quality control guidelines created by the state's brewers. We welcome you to try the innovative beers from the center of the good beer movement: Oregon. | ||||||||
